Beginning on Friday, February 1, 2013, the weekend will commence with a get together BBQ dinner and “All About Playing” workshop where DB talks about technique and performance. Wine tasting will follow, featuring a selection of new world wines, which includes all-you-can talk-about guitars. An outdoor bonfire, if the weather permits.
Saturday includes a hearty breakfast, one workshop training session “All About Composition”, DB will discuss composing and arranging for guitar, followed by lunch. One more guitar workshop in the afternoon; “All About Sound”, we’ll get a look at DB’s rig including Pigtronix effects, Mack amps, and some D’Addario and Planet Waves gadgets. The afternoon wraps up with a cooking class, followed later with some gourmet dining provided by chef Sacha Douglas. Saturday ends with a house concert with David Barrett Trio!
Sunday starts with another hearty breakfast to give you energy for a hike on the Ravenswood grounds. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods, Proprietor Paul Reid will lead an informal photography workshop. Bring your camera!
This is an intimate gathering of up to 12 guests, and is meant for all levels of guitar player. The weekend will be an informal get away with much to learn from David. The food will be spectacular! The accommodations are shared, generally two to a room.
